After reading Sally Magnussen's powerful book about her mother's dementia, I contacted Playlist for Life to find out how singing could help her keep in touch with her musical theatre past.

They were wonderfully helpful, sending a second hand iPod and keeping in touch with her progress.  Her story is shared on their website:  https://www.playlistforlife.org.uk/florence-east  _ I'd also encourage anyone to donate used iPods to this wonderful charity.

The photo here is of a woman, also called Florrie, who used to come to 'parties' in my mum's room.  Mother would sing and they would reminisce about the war.
